October means the year is coming to an end. October means that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. October means Halloween…trick or treating, costumes, fabulous parties. Most importantly, however, October means the transition of two very important seasons: as the World Series wraps up the Baseball Season, Basketball Season begins in earnest.
The Giants gave us some super high hopes during the baseball season. A mid-season flirtation with first place in the NL West. A spot in the playoffs up until the last couple of weeks. And although we didn’t make it, we’re buoyed by the best thing in baseball: HOPE. There’s next year!
And as that season ends, Basketball Season begins. And what a great start the Warriors get off to! While the roster remains pretty much the same as last year, much is being said about the “old guard.” But, don’t doubt Coach Kerr! There’s a young core that can lead when the veterans take a seat. And that combination is what is built to persevere and sustain the very long season. By the time baseball comes back in 2026, we’ll be cheering our Warriors on into the NBA playoffs!
